A week ago I was part of a discussion panel on HuffPost Live talking about “Porn Sex vs. Real Sex” that was sparked by this video:

Together with a porn producer for lesbian porn and sex columnist on HuffPost, a porn actress and sex educator, a sex and relationship therapist and a computational neuroscientist we talked about if and how porn influences our sex lives.

Unfortunately, the discussion remained pretty much on the surface. I do agree with everybody else that sex education in schools is an important issue and especially communicating that porn is rather a fantasy than what sex usually is like in real life but the unwillingness to admit the quantitive seriousness of the addictive quality of porn frustrated me in the end.

But then, maybe it was a generation problem because none of the panelists apparently grew up watching high-speed internet porn on a daily basis like me. But please watch the discussion for yourself on HuffPost Live here.

What’s your opinion? Was the problem address properly? Leave me a comment in the section below!
